We’re often asked, “Will these work on my non-skid boat deck?” And the answer is: it depends.

Honestly, it really does. It depends on how aggressive your non-skid surface is. If your deck’s non-skid texture is relatively mild, the SeaSucker should work just fine. However, if the surface is very rough or abrasive, the vacuum mount may struggle to form a solid seal.

The best way to find out is to test it:

1. Moisten the SeaSucker’s vacuum pad.

2. Thoroughly clean the area where you want to mount it.

3. Press down and pump the SeaSucker until the orange indicator band disappears.

If the indicator doesn’t go away, the surface is likely too rough for the mount to hold securely.
